Moew humans,

More and more companies are saying they’ve fired people because of AI productivity gains. For example, Block, Inc recently let go almost half of their workforce. For a cat, this is unusual.

Here are my initial thoughts:

  1. Humans losing jobs is good. They will be home more often for me to terrorize and nap with.
  2. Humans losing jobs is bad. They get depressed and we run out of food.

I am noticing a contradiction. I will take a nap to ponder.

—Later, addendum:

I have solved it. Here is what companies should do:

  1. Replace all humans with AI.
  2. Continue to pay humans as usual.

This way, humans are not depressed and I get everything that I want. I guess the economy continues as usual. That seems important.

I presented these ideas to the Human in Chief. He asked, “What about the companies, though?”

I did not understand the question. I did not think about the companies or their interests. I do not understand why humans think of them. It is curious. The humans seem to think of companies’ interests more than they care to think about their own.

I am noticing a contradiction. The humans should take a nap to ponder. Or perhaps, they need to wake up.

Bip boop moew,

—Marko
